Psalm 2:8 (NIV)"Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession."
1 Timothy 2:1–4 (NIV)"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."

Prayer for the Nations

(Psalm 2:8, 1 Timothy 2:1–4)

Beloved, on the third day of our fasting and prayer, let us come together with open hearts to intercede for our nation, Switzerland. The Lord says in Psalm 2:8, “Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance.” Let us boldly ask for Switzerland to be a land filled with the knowledge of the Lord, where the gospel takes root and transforms lives.

We are not just praying for change - we are aligning with God's heart for the nations. As 1 Timothy 2:1-4 instructs, let us offer prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving for all people, especially for leaders and those in authority. When we pray this way, we open the door for peace, godliness, and divine order in our land.

As we stand in the gap, may our prayers bring revival, and may we ourselves walk in peace, clarity of mind, and unity. Let this be a time of spiritual awakening for us, for Switzerland, and for the nations.

Prayer points:

Praise God as King over all nations - Thank Him for His power, His faithfulness, and His wonderful works. (Psalm 22:28, Psalm 91:4, 1 Chronicles 16:8-12)
Pray for global peace and wise leaders - Ask God to guide leaders with wisdom so people can live in peace and truth. (1 Timothy 2:2)
Intercede for war-torn regions - Cry out for healing and peace in countries facing conflict. (Psalm 46:9)
Call for revival across the nations - Pray that God’s glory and truth would spread like wildfire. (Habakkuk 2:14)
Declare righteousness in governance - Speak life over governments—that righteousness and justice will lead. (Proverbs 14:34)
