DEVOTIONAL REFLECTION
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah to the Most High God!
Ebenezer—this is how far the Lord has brought us, and we rejoice and are glad in it.
When we began this season of prayer and fasting, it looked like a huge mountain that would never end. In many ways, it reminds us of life itself. When we are young—children and teenagers—we can hardly imagine growing old, reaching our nineties or hundreds, and eventually departing this world. Yet time moves swiftly. In the same way, we started this fast at the feet of January thinking, “When will this finish?” And here we are today—standing at the climax of the fast.
By 6:00 p.m. today, this journey of fasting will come to an end, and we step into victory.
Scripture tells us that after Jesus overcame temptation, angels ministered to Him:
📖 “Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.”
— Matthew 4:11 (NKJV)
Today, I believe with all my heart that angels will minister to us as well—bringing strength, renewal, peace, and divine alignment.
However, let us be careful not to take pride in the fast we were able to do, but rather to glory in the God who empowered us to do it.
📖 “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord of hosts.
— Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV)
As we look back, let us say, “Thank You, Lord, for every single day.”
Some fell sick along the way.
Some faced intense temptations and distractions.
Others encountered unexpected battles.
Yet through it all, the Lord has been faithful.
📖 “Great is Your faithfulness.”
— Lamentations 3:23 (NKJV)
Without the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, you and I could not have completed this fast. It was His strength, His grace, and His sustaining power that carried us through.
📖 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.”
— Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)
Today, therefore, we pause—not to rush forward—but to give thanks. Thanksgiving seals victories, preserves humility, and positions us for greater assignments.
📖 “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.”
— Psalm 103:2 (NKJV)
But thanksgiving is not the end. Consecration must follow thanksgiving.
We now offer ourselves afresh to God—not as spectators, but as sent ones. Having withdrawn with God, we rise to engage the world, carrying His presence, His truth, and His power into every sphere of influence.
📖 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God.”
— Romans 12:1 (NKJV)
Today marks not an ending, but a commissioning.
📖 “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.”
— Isaiah 60:1 (NKJV)
We arise to shine.
We arise to serve.
We arise to impact nations.
