INTRODUCTION

Praise the Lord, Church!

What a blessing God has been to us. Since we started our Thanksgiving Week, the grace has been overflowing. We started powerfully with Pastor Michael, continued with Pastor Zwingli, and yesterday we experienced an amazing blast of evangelism—the heavens truly opened over us! And before the evangelism, we had Throne Room Worship on Wednesday which never wanted to end. God has been so good to us.

It is amazing to see how following Jesus means paying certain prices. Being Unleashed2Love means being released to love without boundaries, without resistance, without excuses, and without the comfort of convenience.

So today, take your seat, grab your Bible, and let’s enter John 1:35–51.

This passage shows us how Jesus began gathering His disciples — and how love draws, calls, reveals, and transforms.

1. Unleashed Love Recognizes the Move of God (John 1:35–37) Here we see John standing with two of his disciples. Because John walked deeply in the realm of the Spirit, he could recognize Jesus instantly. He kept proclaiming:

“Behold! The Lamb of God!”

Anyone who knows Scripture would immediately understand this title. John did not point people to himself — he pointed them to Jesus.

Notice this:

The two disciples LEFT their shepherd to follow Christ.

Why? Because they knew the Scriptures and had been waiting for the Messiah.

And please see this:

John did not stop them. John did not say, “Stay with me.”

He joyfully released them and pointed them to Jesus.

What a pure and powerful spirit!

2. Unleashed Love Says: “Come and See” (John 1:38–39)

The disciples wanted to know where Jesus was staying.

But Jesus didn’t give them the location.

He gave them an invitation:

“Come and see.”

The journey with Jesus is not explained — it is experienced.

Many of us want answers before obedience. Jesus says:

Just follow. Come and see.

3. Unleashed Love Brings Others (John 1:40–42)

One of the two disciples was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.

When Andrew experienced Jesus, he did not keep it to himself — he went for Peter.

When Jesus met Peter, He released a prophetic identity:

“You are Simon… but you SHALL be called Cephas (a stone).”

Jesus is the Father of prophecy.

He knows us.

He names us.

He shapes our destiny.

Many disciples who walk into FCC today come because God spoke a word to them — and this began from the very early days of Jesus’ ministry.

4. Unleashed Love Seeks the Called (John 1:43)

The following day, Jesus wanted to go to Galilee.

He found Philip.

Some follow Jesus willingly.

Others Jesus personally calls with His voice.

Both are valid pathways in the Kingdom.

5. Unleashed Love Spreads the Message (John 1:44–46)

Philip, excited, went to Nathanael and said:

“We have found Him — the One Moses wrote about!”

Church, this is why we must know our Bibles.

Philip and Nathanael recognized Jesus because they knew Scripture. Will you recognize when the antichrist comes to rule? Because it’s in scripture. We can only discern the times when we know our scriptures otherwise everything can take us by surprise. Never do anything which is unscriptural.

So I pray as you read these devotions, may your hunger increase.

If you have more time, read Psalms, Proverbs, the Old Testament — grow in the Word.

But if time is limited, this devotion will anchor you until we cover every book of the Bible by the end of next year. Hallelujah!

Nathanael doubted at first (“Can anything good come out of Nazareth?”),

but Philip didn’t argue — he simply said:

“Come and see.”

6. Unleashed Love Sees the Heart (John 1:47–49)

When Nathanael approached, Jesus said:

“Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit.”

What a compliment!

Can Jesus say the same about us?

Nathanael was shocked:

“How do You know me?”

Jesus revealed:

“I saw you under the fig tree before Philip called you.”

Before we came to Jesus, Jesus saw us.

Before you came to FCC, Jesus knew you.

Before you surrendered your life, He had already called you.

7. Unleashed Love Reveals Greater Glory (John 1:50–51)

Nathanael marveled at this prophetic revelation.

But Jesus said:

“You will see greater things.”

“You will see heaven open.”

“You will see angels ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”

This was Jesus’ promise to Nathanael — and a prophetic picture for us.

Those who follow Jesus wholeheartedly will witness deeper realms and greater dimensions.

🔥 PROPHETIC PRAYER & DECLARATION

Today I prophesy that the Word of God will be your anchor and shield.

You will walk with the Word, grow in the Word, and discern the times through the Word.

May your spirit be awakened to everything Scripture has spoken concerning your life.

Jesus is calling you to follow Him beyond comfortability and convenience.

He is calling you to become everything He destined you to be.

We are Unleashed2Love!

Yesterday, the love we showed on the streets was amazing.

May God give us the desire to continue, not once, but constantly —

for Jesus is truly the reason for the season.

If this has blessed you, share it.

Post it on your status, your Instagram, your TikTok — spread the Word.

I love you.

Stay tuned.

And sorry for bringing the devotion late.

Amen!
