📖 Love Still Stands and Invites

🌅 INTRODUCTION

Shalom, people of God. 🙏

As we wake up on this 24th day of December, our hearts are filled with expectation. 🎄 Christmas Eve is not a day to rush; it is a day of preparation. It is a moment to pause, reflect, and align our hearts before we celebrate the birth of our Lord.

John chapter 7 meets us in this posture. ✨ Jesus stands amid anticipation, confusion, and expectation. Some believe. Some doubt. Some watch closely. Yet in the middle of it all, love does not withdraw. 💖 Love stands. Love speaks. Love invites.

As we begin this day, let us allow the Word to prepare our hearts so that when we celebrate tomorrow, we do so with understanding, gratitude, and faith. 🙌

1. LOVE MOVES BY GOD’S TIMING, NOT HUMAN PRESSURE ⏳

📖 John 7:1–9

Jesus’ brothers encouraged Him to go public and prove Himself. They sought visibility and recognition. Scripture tells us plainly that even His brothers did not yet believe in Him.

Being a Pastor, I truly understand divine timing. 🌟 For the Son to be manifested, He kept saying, “My hour has not yet come.” Sometimes in life, we may be in our lowest moments, but as Christians, we must understand that this may be the time our hour has not yet come. Don’t rush to be revealed prematurely—it may be marriage, deliverance, or a breakthrough you are waiting for. 💫

How do we wait? ⏸️ Waiting is not sitting idly doing nothing. We wait when we pray. 🙏 Prayer is simply waiting in God. In that waiting, we align ourselves with His timing, grow in faith, and prepare for what He has ordained.

On this morning of the 24th, we are reminded that Jesus Himself was born at the right time. 🎁 “When the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son” (Galatians 4:4). Love is never late. Love is never rushed.

2. LOVE COMES QUIETLY BUT CARRIES HEAVENLY AUTHORITY 🤫✨

📖 John 7:10–18

Jesus went to the feast quietly, yet when He spoke, His words carried authority. The people wondered at His wisdom. 🕊️

Jesus answered, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me” (John 7:16).

This morning devotion reminds us that Christmas is not about noise. 🔔 It is about truth. God came quietly through a manger, yet His Word carries eternal authority. 🌟

3. LOVE IS OFTEN MISUNDERSTOOD ❓💛

📖 John 7:25–31

Some questioned Jesus’ identity. Others debated His origin. Still, many believed. ✝️

This mirrors the Christmas story. Some worshipped the child. Some were troubled by Him. Some ignored Him altogether. Yet love remained faithful. 💖

4. LOVE IS PROTECTED BY DIVINE PURPOSE 🛡️

📖 John 7:30–36

The religious leaders wanted to arrest Jesus, but they could not. His hour had not yet come. ⏳

This reassures us this morning: God’s purpose cannot be stopped. Just as Jesus was preserved until His time, so was the promise of His birth fulfilled exactly as God planned. 🎄✨

5. LOVE INVITES THE THIRSTY 💧

📖 John 7:37–39

On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.” 💦

As we begin this Christmas Eve day, this invitation still stands. Before celebrations begin, Jesus invites us to come to Him first. He offers living water. He offers the Holy Spirit. 🕊️

6. LOVE SPEAKS WITH WISDOM AND COURAGE 🗣️💡

📖 John 7:40–52

While many argued, Nicodemus spoke wisely and reminded the leaders that judgment requires listening. 👂

This morning, we are reminded that love does not always shout. Sometimes love speaks calmly and courageously in truth. 💖

🌄 MORNING REFLECTION

As this day unfolds, let us carry this truth in our hearts. Jesus stands and invites us before we celebrate His birth. ✨

Let us not rush past His presence. Let us drink deeply from His Spirit. 💧 Let our celebration tomorrow flow from a heart that has already met Him today.

Lord Jesus,

Thank You for this new day. 🌅

Thank You for coming at the right time. 🎁

As we prepare to celebrate Your birth, prepare our hearts first. 💛

Fill us with Your living water. 💧

Let Your love flow through us today. 💖
