Theme: Kingdom of God / Unity, Power and True Family - Mark 3:20-25
Fortified City Church / Love City Church / Basel French Assembly / Luzern City Fellowship / PIWC Bern / Global prayer family

Introduction
In this passage, Jesus continues to reveal powerful truths about the Kingdom of God. As opposition increased, He addressed division, warned about rejecting the Holy Spirit, and redefined what true family means in the Kingdom.
The Kingdom of God thrives on unity, love, and obedience. Wherever there is division, the enemy is at work — but the Kingdom of Christ will always stand firm, bound together by the Spirit of truth.
Now open your Bible to Mark 3:20–35, and let’s have our chair time together.
⸻
Verses 20–27 – The Kingdom and Division
“If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.” (Mark 3:24, NKJV)
When the scribes accused Jesus of casting out demons by the power of Satan, Jesus exposed their flawed reasoning. He said plainly, “How can Satan cast out Satan?” (v. 23).
Jesus was teaching a vital Kingdom principle — no kingdom divided against itself can stand. Even Satan’s kingdom operates in unity; that’s why division is one of his greatest weapons against the Church.
History shows that many great kingdoms collapsed not from outside attack, but from internal betrayal and division. To destroy a strong church or ministry, Satan doesn’t need an army — he only needs a few trusted people inside to spread gossip, offense, and disunity. Once murmuring begins, what was powerful begins to lose strength.
That’s why Paul warned, “Reject a divisive man after the first and second admonition” (Titus 3:10). Division spreads like poison and must be stopped quickly.
Satan’s demons work in demonic unity — they all speak the same language of rebellion. But God’s Kingdom speaks the language of love, forgiveness, and agreement. Jesus emphasized forgiving one another quickly because division spreads like a cancer, but love heals and restores.
Let us pray that the Kingdom of God will stand firm in FCC, Love City Church, and across our district — that no spirit of division will prevail in Jesus’ name.
⸻
Verses 28–30 – The Kingdom and Blasphemy
“Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness.” (Mark 3:28–29, NKJV)
Here, Jesus warns about rejecting the work of the Holy Spirit. The scribes accused Him of using demonic power, but to attribute the work of the Holy Spirit to Satan is a dangerous level of unbelief — a hardened rejection of truth.
The Spirit of God testifies of Christ, and when we deny His work, we shut the door to the very power that saves.
⸻
Verses 31–35 – The Kingdom Family Defined
“And He looked around in a circle at those who sat about Him, and said, ‘Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother.’” (Mark 3:34–35, NKJV)
When His mother and brothers came looking for Him, thinking He was overextending Himself, Jesus pointed to His followers and said, “These are My family.”
He wasn’t dishonoring His earthly family but revealing a deep Kingdom truth: true family is defined by obedience to God’s will.
Those who walk in His Word and serve His purpose are His true brothers and sisters. Spiritual alignment is stronger than natural bloodlines.

• Thrives on unity, not division.
• Honors the Holy Spirit’s work.
