DAY 15 – Fasting & Prayer

19. January 2026

Devotion by Reverend Joseph Antwi

Theme: Being Set Apart: Holiness Unto the Lord (Nations Consecrated)

Key Scriptures: Romans 12:1 | 1 Peter 1:15–16 | Leviticus 20:26

God’s call to His Church has always been clear: Be holy. This call is not rooted in religion, fear, or isolation—it is rooted in identity and purpose.

In the Hebrew language, the word “holy” comes from Qadosh (קָדוֹשׁ), which means to be set apart, separated, distinct, and dedicated exclusively to God. Holiness is not merely about moral behavior; it is about belonging fully to the Lord.

Anything that is Qadosh is removed from common use and reserved for sacred purpose. This is why God consistently commanded Israel to live separated lives—not because He hated other nations, but because mixture always led to compromise.

Throughout Scripture, whenever Israel failed, it was never because God abandoned them. It was because they mixed themselves with idols, foreign cultures, and ungodly practices.

📖 “They mingled with the Gentiles and learned their works.”

— Psalm 106:35 (NKJV)

When separation was lost, direction was lost. When holiness was abandoned, power faded.

The same danger exists today.

Many profess love for Jesus with their lips, yet resist consecration. They desire salvation but avoid surrender. They want blessing but resist guidance. They love Christ, yet still cling to foreign gods—self, pleasure, compromise, culture, and convenience.

📖 “This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.”

— Matthew 15:8 (NKJV)

Yet Scripture remains uncompromising:

📖 “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.”

— Hebrews 12:14 (NKJV)

Holiness is not optional for the believer. It is the pathway to intimacy with God. Without separation, God cannot fully use us. Anything not set apart cannot fulfill divine purpose.

As I often say:

“When Satan uses us, we become useless—but when God uses us, we become useful and fit for purpose.”

— Rev. Joseph Antwi

God does not fill shared vessels. He empowers surrendered lives. He guides consecrated hearts.

📖 “And you shall be holy to Me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be Mine.”

— Leviticus 20:26 (NKJV)

This is why the Church must return to holiness—not as legalism, but as devotion. Not as fear, but as love. Not as isolation, but as identity.

📖 “But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct.”

— 1 Peter 1:15 (NKJV)

A holy Church carries authority.

A consecrated believer releases power.

A separated people influence nations.

📖 “I beseech you therefore, brethren… present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”

— Romans 12:1 (NKJV)

Prayer for the National Prayer Festival (Basel)

We declare liberty, peace, and divine security over the National Prayer Festival in Basel.

Every power of darkness is cancelled.

Every atmosphere of resistance is broken.

The heavens are opened, and the environment is saturated with the Holy Spirit.

📖 “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

— 2 Corinthians 3:17 (NKJV)

📖 “Lift up your heads, O you gates… and the King of glory shall come in.”

— Psalm 24:7 (NKJV)

May this gathering release revival, healing, unity, and transformation across Switzerland and beyond.

Final Exhortation

Holiness is not perfection—it is direction.

Separation is not loss—it is alignment.

Consecration is not restriction—it is empowerment.

May we be found holy, yielded, and usable in this generation.

If this blessed you please share it with as many friends as possible who have not even been in church for a long time.

Please pray for us and ask God for protection and strength to send these devotion until the end of the fasting ..

Shalom

Rev Joseph Antwi
