Introduction
Welcome to Day One of our Global 14 Days Prayer and Fasting journey. While this guide outlines fourteen focused days, it is important to remember that our nation is entering a wider season of prayer and fasting that continues until the 30th of January, making this a 25-day spiritual journey. This season is not accidental—it is intentional, strategic, and deeply spiritual.
January is a gate-opening month. How we engage it often determines how we walk through the rest of the year. This is a time to withdraw before we are sent, to prepare before we engage the crowds, and to cultivate intimacy with God before public impact. Jesus Himself often withdrew to lonely places to pray before stepping into seasons of visible ministry (Luke 5:16).
As we begin today, there is excitement, energy, and spiritual momentum—and that is good. But this fast will require more than excitement; it will require determination, consistency, and spiritual discipline. The greatest breakthroughs are not sustained by emotions but by obedience and perseverance.
Let us therefore make a collective decision: we will start powerfully, we will stay consistent, and we will end powerfully, in the name of Jesus. May the Lord strengthen us daily, renew our hunger for Him, and carry us through this journey with grace.
Fasten your seatbelt—this is only Day One, and God has much more ahead of us.

Devotional Reflection
We live in a time where many nations are increasingly shaped by secular values that push God to the margins. Faith is often tolerated only when it remains private and silent. Yet Scripture reminds us that God has never called His people to withdraw from the world—but to live distinctly within it.
Daniel lived in Babylon, a powerful and secular empire that opposed the ways of God. Surrounded by pressure to conform, Daniel resolved in his heart not to defile himself (Daniel 1:8). His consecration did not isolate him; it elevated him. Likewise, we are called to live holy lives while engaging nations that desperately need the light of Christ.
Romans 12:1–2 urges us to present ourselves as living sacrifices, refusing conformity to the patterns of this world and choosing transformation through renewed minds. This transformation is not for personal holiness alone—it is God’s strategy for national impact. When we live consecrated lives, we become visible witnesses of God’s kingdom.
Jesus declares that we are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14). Light does not argue with darkness; it overcomes it by shining. As we live visibly, faithfully, and boldly for Christ, nations encounter truth, hope, and salvation through our everyday obedience.
Today, as we begin this fast, God is calling us to consecration—not withdrawal, compromise, or silence—but holy influence. Through our lives, He desires to turn nations from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God (Acts 26:18).

Prayer Points (Pray Slowly and Intentionally)
1. Father, sanctify us as Your Church living in secular nations.
“Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.” (John 17:17)
“May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless.” (1 Thessalonians 5:23)
2. Help us to stand uncompromised in cultures hostile to Your truth.
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can stand your ground.” (Ephesians 6:13)
“Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 6:14–17)
3. Restore the fear of God through us in our nations.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” (Proverbs 9:10)
“Let all the earth fear the Lord.” (Psalm 33:8)
4. Let Your light shine through us in cities filled with darkness.
“You are the light of the world… let your light shine.” (Matthew 5:14–16)
“Shine as lights in the world.” (Philippians 2:15)
5. Cause national cultures to encounter Christ through our lives.
“To open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light.” (Acts 26:18)
“The gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world.” (Colossians 1:6)
