Theme: Experiencing the Unleashed Power of the Holy Spirit
05.06.2025

Focus Scriptures:
Acts 1:8 (NIV)"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
2 Timothy 1:6–7 (NIV)"For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline."
Acts 28:5 (NIV)"But Paul shook the snake off into the fire and suffered no ill effects."
Experiencing the Power of the Holy Spirit
(Acts 1:8, 2 Timothy 1:6–7, Acts 28:5)
Today, on Day 11 of our fast, the Lord is calling us to experience the living power of the Holy Spirit. A believer without the Holy Spirit is like a lamp with no oil—dry, empty, and powerless. We cannot reflect Christ without yielding ourselves to His Spirit, who empowers us to carry out God's will.
When we pray, worship, and seek deeper intimacy with the Lord, the Holy Spirit begins to move within us. He comes not only to comfort, but to fill, to ignite, and to empower. He activates the spiritual gifts within us and rekindles fresh fire in our hearts (2 Timothy 1:6). This fire replaces fear with boldness, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
In Acts 28, we witness how the fire of the Holy Spirit preserved Paul. Though bitten by a deadly viper, he simply shook it into the fire without harm. This was not natural strength—it was supernatural protection. That same power lives in you. Whatever serpent of fear, depression, confusion, or limitation is trying to cling to you must fall into the fire of God today.
Prayer Points:
Thank God for His fire and power – Praise Him for the presence and power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:3–4).
Fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit – Ask for a new outpouring of His Spirit and anointing today (Ephesians 5:18).
Rekindle His presence – Stir up every spiritual gift through prayer and intimacy (2 Timothy 1:6).
Fire to shake off serpents – Declare that every demonic viper must fall into God’s fire (Acts 28:5).
Evil turned into testimonies – Believe that God will use every attack for your good (Genesis 50:20).
Let this be a day of spiritual ignition. Invite the Holy Spirit to fill you anew. Fan into flame the gifts He has placed within you. His fire is not only your shield—it is your strength and commissioning power.
Blessings,
Presiding Elder Jeff Yeboah
