“Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.”

INTRODUCTION: THE POWER OF CORPORATE PRAYER

Dear people of God, as we conclude our three days of fasting and prayer, let us come before the Lord with faith, hunger, and expectation. We believe that our prayers ascend before God’s throne and that He hears the cries of His people.

In Revelation 8:3–5, we see the prayers of the saints ascending before God like incense. In Acts 12, the Church prayed earnestly for Peter, and God delivered him from prison. In Acts 16, Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises to God, and the prison doors opened.

These examples remind us that corporate prayer is powerful. Some situations require the united prayers of the Body of Christ. As we gather, let us pray for the advancement of God’s Kingdom, the salvation of souls, the restoration of families, and the fulfilment of God’s purposes in our churches, cities, and nations.

May Jesus Christ find us watchful, prayerful, and actively advancing His Kingdom when He comes!

1. UNDERSTANDING THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Scriptures: Matthew 6:9–10; Psalm 103:19

The Kingdom of God speaks of God’s rule, reign, authority, and dominion. It represents His sovereign will and righteous principles. God is the supreme King, and His authority extends over all creation.

The Bible speaks about the kingdoms of men, the kingdoms of this world, and the kingdom of darkness. The challenge arises when human systems reject God’s authority and abandon His principles.

When Kingdom values are removed from society, love gives way to hatred, kindness gives way to cruelty, and moral values are abandoned. Marriages and families become weakened, corporate worship and prayer are neglected, and people turn away from serving God.

As believers, we must ask ourselves: Which kingdom governs our lives, families, churches, communities, and nations?

We are called not only to belong to a church but also to live under the authority of our King. Our lives must reflect His righteousness, love, truth, integrity, and holiness. We must pray for God’s rule to be established in every sphere of society.

2. WHY JESUS TAUGHT US TO PRAY, “LET THY KINGDOM COME”

Scripture: Matthew 6:9–10 (NKJV)

Jesus taught His disciples to pray for God’s Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. This reveals the importance of God’s Kingdom in the life and mission of every believer.

When we pray, “Let Thy Kingdom come,” we are asking God to establish His authority, righteousness, truth, and purposes on earth. We are praying for His will to prevail wherever His authority is resisted, His truth is rejected, and His principles are abandoned.

This prayer goes beyond our personal needs and breakthroughs. It is a prayer for the salvation of souls, the restoration of families, the establishment of justice, the demonstration of love, and the fulfilment of the Church’s divine assignment.

As we enter November, believers across the globe must arise and groan in prayer for God’s Kingdom to be established in our lives, families, churches, cities, and nations.

We must not become comfortable when society moves away from God’s principles. Instead, we must pray, stand for righteousness, proclaim the Gospel, and live as representatives of God’s Kingdom.

Praying for the Kingdom to come means surrendering ourselves to God’s authority and becoming instruments through which His will is fulfilled on earth.

3. GOD’S EVERLASTING KINGDOM AND THE CHURCH’S MISSION

Scriptures: Daniel 2:44; 1 Samuel 2:1–10; Matthew 11:12; Matthew 16:18; Ephesians 6:10–18

Daniel 2:44 reminds us that the God of heaven will establish a Kingdom that will never be destroyed. Earthly kingdoms rise and fall, but God’s Kingdom stands forever.

Hannah’s prayer in 1 Samuel 2 reminds us that God rules in the affairs of humanity. He brings down and lifts up, removes kings, and raises up kings. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords, and no earthly authority is greater than Him.

Nevertheless, the advancement of God’s Kingdom faces spiritual opposition. Ephesians 6 reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood. Therefore, we must stand firm in prayer, faith, righteousness, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus declared in Matthew 16:18:

“I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

The Church is God’s instrument for proclaiming the Gospel, making disciples, transforming lives, and advancing His purposes on earth. We must not be satisfied with simply maintaining our churches; we must actively pursue God’s mission.

As we enter November, believers across the globe must arise in prayer for the establishment of God’s Kingdom. We must also surrender ourselves to His will and advance His purposes through evangelism, discipleship, righteous living, prayer, and faithful service.

LET THY KINGDOM COME! LET THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN!
