Day 3: Breaking Grounds by Possessing the Land

🌿 Introduction

Beloved in Christ,

Grace and peace be unto you in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I warmly welcome you to the third and final day of our Three Days of Fasting and Prayer under the prophetic theme:

BREAKING GROUNDS

Over the past two days, the Lord has been leading us on a remarkable spiritual journey.

On Day One, God spoke to us through Deuteronomy 1:6–8, declaring, “You have dwelt long enough at this mountain.” We learned that God cannot lead us into new territories until we are willing to leave behind fear, comfort, stagnation, complacency, and every limitation that keeps us from His purpose.

On Day Two, we journeyed to the shores of the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus instructed Peter to “launch out into the deep.” We discovered that miracles are found on the other side of obedience. Peter’s breakthrough came not because of his experience, but because he trusted the Word of Christ.

Today, we come to the climax of our journey.

Today is about possessing the land.

There is a great difference between having a promise and possessing a promise.

God had already promised Israel the land of Canaan, yet every tribe still had to arise, move forward, and take possession of what God had already given them.

Likewise, many believers know God’s promises. We read them, confess them, and believe them, yet many never experience their full manifestation because they stop before the breakthrough comes.

God said to Joshua,

“Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you.”

Notice that although God had already given them the land, they still had to walk upon it.

Faith always requires movement.

Faith always requires courage.

Faith always requires action.

Then we remember another powerful lesson from Scripture.

As the prophet Elisha was about to die, King Joash came to seek God’s direction concerning victory over Syria. Elisha instructed him to strike the ground with arrows.

The king struck the ground only three times and stopped.

The prophet became angry and declared,

“You should have struck five or six times; then you would have struck Syria till you had destroyed it. But now you will strike Syria only three times.” (2 Kings 13:18–19)

Joash obeyed—but he obeyed halfway.

His limited action produced a limited victory.

Church, one truth we must understand is that breaking new grounds requires holy aggression.

You cannot break new ground by remaining comfortable.

You cannot possess new territories while remaining satisfied with where you are.

The Kingdom of God advances through believers who refuse to settle for mediocrity and are willing to step out in bold faith.

There is a danger in becoming comfortable while the world around us is perishing.

We cannot be content attending church every Sunday, enjoying wonderful worship and powerful preaching, while thousands around us have never heard the Gospel.

The fire of the Holy Spirit we have received was never meant merely to bless us—it was given to propel us into God’s mission.

Breaking grounds means taking the Gospel wherever God places us.

We should not wait only for organised evangelism before witnessing.

Every day presents an opportunity to break new ground.

The person sitting beside you on the train.

The colleague at work.

The patient in the hospital.

The customer in the pharmacy.

The neighbour next door.

The student sitting beside you in class.

The stranger you meet in the supermarket.

Sometimes one Spirit-led conversation is all God needs to transform a life forever.

That is how cities are changed.

That is how nations are transformed.

One soul at a time.

We are called to break new grounds everywhere we go—in our homes, workplaces, schools, universities, businesses, neighbourhoods, and communities.

As I pray concerning our nation, I have a deep conviction in my spirit that Switzerland is about to break new grounds.

I believe God is preparing to do something unprecedented through His Church.

I believe Basel is standing on the threshold of revival.

I believe we shall witness a fresh harvest of souls, new church expressions, transformed communities, and the mighty demonstration of the Holy Spirit unlike anything we have experienced before.

This is not the time to retreat.

This is the time to arise.

Today, we are praying not merely for opportunities, but for the grace to possess every territory that God has prepared for us.

Now, let us lift our voices in prayer.

* Pray against fear, discouragement, delay, complacency, and every spirit that causes believers to stop short like King Joash.

* Ask God for holy aggression, perseverance, and unwavering faith until every promise becomes reality.

* Pray for divine breakthroughs in employment, businesses, careers, finances, education, immigration matters, and every personal need.

* Pray for healing over every sick person. Declare divine healing over those battling physical, emotional, and mental illnesses, believing that Jesus Christ is still our Healer.

* Pray for restoration, peace, unity, and God’s blessing upon every marriage, family, and relationship. Pray for those trusting God for children, spouses, direction, and restoration.

4. Prayer for New Grounds and Church Expansion

* Pray for supernatural growth and fresh revival throughout The Church of Pentecost Switzerland.

* Pray specifically for new grounds and expansion in Luzern, Basel, Delémont, Baden, Oetwil, and every new church expression the Lord is preparing across Switzerland.

* Pray for abundant souls, successful church planting, open doors, new places of worship, and divine provision for every outreach and evangelistic effort.

* Pray for every District Pastor, Presiding Elder, Minister, Shepherd, Worker, Youth Leader, Children’s Worker, and every labourer in God’s vineyard, asking God to strengthen, protect, anoint, and empower them for the great harvest.

5. Prayer for the Nations, Persecuted Christians and Global Revival

* Pray for peace, stability, and God’s intervention in Nigeria, asking Him to comfort families affected by violence and strengthen His Church.

* Pray for Christians facing persecution around the world, asking God to preserve them, strengthen their faith, and cause the Gospel to continue advancing despite opposition.

* Pray for a mighty global revival and for the Church to arise with boldness, love, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the Great Commission.

🔥 Declaration

I shall possess every promise God has prepared for me.

I refuse to stop halfway.

I refuse to settle for partial victories.

I shall walk by faith and not by sight.

Every limitation is broken.

Every closed door is opening.

My family shall flourish.

My marriage shall prosper.

My career shall advance.

My health shall be restored.

I shall be a bold witness for Jesus Christ.

Switzerland shall break new grounds.

The Church of Pentecost Switzerland shall possess new territories and win a mighty harvest of souls.

Revival is coming.

The glory of the Lord shall fill this nation.

In the mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

📖 Daily Charge

God never called Israel to admire the Promised Land from a distance—He called them to arise and possess it. In the same way, God has not called us to admire revival, pray about revival, or talk about revival. He has called us to become participants in it.

Do not stop striking the ground.

Do not stop praying.

Do not stop witnessing.

Do not stop believing.

Do not stop until every promise becomes your testimony.

Leave the mountain.

Launch into the deep.

Possess the land.

Break new grounds for the glory of God.
