Boldness to Continue in the New Direction đź“– Main Scriptures
Acts 4:23–31; Joshua 1:2–9; Acts 1:8; Galatians 1:6–9; Jude 3 Acts 4:29–30 (NIV):
“Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”
DEVOTION
Beloved Church, Shalom!
For the past two days, we have been asking God to give us new direction and to open our spiritual eyes to see what He has prepared for us. Today, we must receive the boldness and strength to continue walking in that direction. The apostles in Acts 4 faced threats, opposition and persecution, yet they did not ask God to remove the assignment or make the journey easier. They prayed for boldness to continue preaching the Word, and they asked God to stretch out His hand with signs and wonders.
As we enter this new season, there may be opposition, resistance and voices that do not understand what God is doing. Some may even try to weaken the faith of others or distort the Gospel. Paul confronted such influences because the Gospel must be protected, and Jude 3 calls us to contend for the faith. Therefore, we must not retreat, become silent or abandon the assignment God has given us. We must continue to preach Christ, evangelize, establish the Church and defend the truth with courage, wisdom, love and the character of Christ. May the Lord consider every threat against His work, preserve His people and allow His purpose to stand.
PRAYER POINTS
1. WORSHIP & THANKSGIVING — Psalm 100:1–5
Thank God for these three days of prayer and fasting, for the new direction He is giving us, the things He is revealing by His Spirit, and the strength He is giving us to move forward.
2. BOLDNESS TO CONTINUE IN THE NEW DIRECTION — Acts 4:29–31; Joshua 1:9
Father, give us boldness to continue in the new direction You have given us. When opposition comes, do not allow us to retreat or become discouraged. Strengthen us to keep preaching, serving, evangelizing and advancing Your Kingdom.
3. LORD, CONSIDER THEIR THREATS & ACCOMPANY THE MINISTRY WITH POWER — Acts 4:29–30
Lord, consider every threat and opposition against Your work. Stretch out Your hand and accompany our ministry with signs, wonders, healing, deliverance, salvation and transformed lives. Let Your power confirm the Gospel we preach.
4. CONTEND FOR THE GOSPEL — Galatians 1:6–9; Jude 3
Lord, give us courage to defend the Gospel and wisdom to recognize anything that seeks to distort Your truth. Help us protect the faith of those coming to Christ and stand firmly for Your Word with truth, love and the character of Christ.
5. PROTECTION FROM CONFUSION & DESTRUCTIVE INFLUENCE — Acts 20:28–30; 1 John 2:19
Father, protect Your Church from every influence that weakens faith, creates division or turns people away from Christ. Give us discernment to recognize what is not from You and grace to protect the flock. Let Your truth and purpose prevail.
6. PRAYER FOR DELÉMONT & BADEN — 1 Corinthians 16:9
Pray for Delémont Prayer Factory, that the power of God will be established mightily in the region, and that the planned evangelism and Delémont Gospel Experience this Sunday will go according to God’s purpose. Pray also for the evangelism in Baden and the successful launching of Love City Church Baden. May every door remain open and the Gospel advance powerfully, in Jesus’ Name.
7. PROVISION & PRESERVATION FOR PASTOR JOSEPH, LADY ANITA & THE ENTIRE LEADERSHIP — 1 Corinthians 9:14; Psalm 121:7–8
Father, provide for Pastor Joseph, Lady Anita and the entire leadership as they give themselves wholeheartedly to the work of the Gospel. According to Your Word, those who preach the Gospel have a right to receive their living from the Gospel. May they lack nothing financially, materially or spiritually, and may no financial pressure or need distort their work and service to You. Preserve them, their marriages, families and ministries; protect them from every attack, discouragement and distraction, and hold them firmly as they continue to labour for the advancement of Your Kingdom.
DECLARATION
I receive boldness to continue in God’s new direction. I will not retreat because of opposition. The Lord is with me, and His power accompanies my assignment. I will have everything I need to fulfil my calling, and I will not lack any good thing. The Gospel will advance, lives will be transformed, and God’s purpose will prevail. I will stand for my faith, defend the Gospel and fulfil my assignment. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
