Prayer of the Day

Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness and the gifts You have entrusted to me. Help me to use them wisely and not let fear hold me back. May I be faithful with all that You have given me, serving others with kindness and love. Open my eyes to see You in those who are hungry, sick, imprisoned, and in need. Amen.

Use It or Lose It

Life is not a competition but a privilege and an opportunity. God has given you gifts, talents, and abilities—not to be hidden, but to be used for His glory. Faithfulness is shown in how you steward what He has entrusted to you.

Biblical Foundations & Key Messages

1. God’s Faithfulness (Psalm 18:43–50)

David looked back on his life and saw God’s unfailing kindness:

  • God delivers: ‘You have delivered me from the attacks of the people’ (v.43).

  • God strengthens: ‘You have given me great victories’ (v.50).

  • God exalts the faithful: ‘You exalted me above my foes’ (v.48).

💡 Application: Just as God was faithful to David, He is faithful to you. In response, strive to be faithful to Him by using your gifts and showing kindness to others.

2. Faithfulness in Action (Matthew 25:14–46)

Jesus tells two powerful truths about faithfulness:

Use it or lose it (Matthew 25:14–30)

In the parable of the talents, the master rewards those who invest what they have, but the one who hides his talent in fear loses it all.

  • Faithfulness requires action: ‘Well done, good and faithful servant!’ (vv.21,23).

  • Fear leads to stagnation: ‘I was afraid and went out and hid your gold’ (v.25).

  • Growth comes through risk: Those who invested their talents received more (v.28).

💡 Application: Don’t let fear stop you from using what God has given you. Step out in faith, invest in your gifts, and trust God with the results.

See the least and the last as Jesus in disguise (Matthew 25:31–46)

Jesus calls us to serve the vulnerable:

  • The hungry: ‘I was hungry and you gave me something to eat’ (v.35).

  • The stranger: ‘I was a stranger and you invited me in’ (v.35).

  • The sick: ‘I was sick and you looked after me’ (v.36).

  • The prisoner: ‘I was in prison and you came to visit me’ (v.36).

💡 Application: Every act of kindness is an act of worship. When you serve the least, you serve Jesus. Look for ways to show His love to those in need.

Overall Takeaway

Trust God’s faithfulness: He has given you gifts—use them well.✔ Step out in courage: Don’t let fear keep you from making an impact.✔ Serve the least and the last: Jesus is found in acts of love and kindness.

Lord, thank You for the gifts and opportunities You have given me. Help me to be faithful in using them for Your glory. Give me courage to step out in faith and compassion to serve those in need. May my life reflect Your love and faithfulness. Amen.
