Prayer of the Day🙏
Lord, thank You that You still speak today. Open my ears to hear Your voice—whether through Scripture, quiet moments, or the leading of the Holy Spirit. Help me to be attentive and responsive. I want to live by every word that comes from Your mouth. Amen.
Scriptures of the Day
Psalm 25:8–15 – “He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way.”
Mark 7:1–30 – “You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.”
Exodus 33:7–11; 34:29–35 – “The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend.”
Hearing God’s Voice
God is not silent. From the beginning, He has spoken to His people—in gardens, in deserts, through prophets, and ultimately through Jesus. Today, He continues to speak through His Word, through His Spirit, and in the stillness of our hearts.
In Psalm 25, David shows us that hearing God doesn’t require perfection—it requires humility. God promises to guide, teach, and even confide in those who walk closely with Him. Hearing Him isn’t about loud moments or dramatic signs; it’s about walking in step with Him daily and attentively listening for His voice.
In Mark 7, Jesus reminds us that it’s not tradition or outward appearances that bring us closer to God—but a heart that is open and obedient. His Word should shape our values and decisions, not be overridden by convenience or culture. The ability to hear God begins with a heart that is willing to listen and surrender.
And in Exodus 33, Moses had such a deep relationship with God that they spoke “as friends.” This intimacy with God is not reserved for prophets or leaders. Through Christ and the Holy Spirit, we are invited into that same closeness—where His presence becomes our resting place and His voice becomes familiar.
Just like physical nourishment, our spirits are sustained by God’s Word. Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4). As we make space for Him, He speaks. And when He speaks, it changes everything.
