Prayer of the Day:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You that You are the just and righteous Judge. When I don’t understand the world around me, help me to trust in Your perfect justice. Strengthen my heart to leave judgment in Your hands and to respond with love, faith, and obedience. I trust that You will put all things right in the end.
In Jesus’ name,Amen.
Trust God to Put Things Right
Sometimes, life feels like an unsolved puzzle. When we encounter confusion, injustice, or suffering, we may struggle to make sense of it all. But just as solving one clue in a crossword puzzle helps unlock others, the truths of Scripture guide us through the complexities of life.
One of the greatest assurances we have is found in Genesis 18:25: “Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?” God sees everything, and His justice is perfect. When all is revealed, we will declare with confidence, “That is absolutely right.”
Each of today’s passages reminds us that, in the end, God will put things right.
Scriptural Foundations for Trusting God's Justice
1. Trust That There Will Be a Just Judgment
Read: Psalm 7:1–9
Key Message: The world’s injustice can tempt us to seek revenge, but David reminds us to trust in God’s justice. He cries out, “Let the Lord judge the peoples” (v.8).
God’s Response: We don’t need to take matters into our own hands. Instead of revenge, we are called to love our enemies (Matthew 5:44).
Application: When facing injustice, take refuge in God. Trust Him to judge rightly and respond with love instead of retaliation.
2. Trust in Jesus, to Whom God Has Entrusted All Judgment
Read: Matthew 7:24–8:22
Key Message: Jesus warns about building our lives on a shaky foundation. Only by trusting and obeying His words do we stand firm when life’s storms come.
God’s Response: Faith in Jesus secures our foundation. He has the authority of God, and His word alone is enough to bring healing and restoration.
Application: Don’t just hear God’s words—put them into practice. Build your life on the solid rock of Christ, so that when trials come, your faith remains unshaken.
3. Trust That, in the End, the Judge of All the Earth Will Do Right
Read: Genesis 19:1–20:18
Key Message: God’s judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah reveals His intolerance for sin, yet His mercy toward Lot shows His compassion. Even Abraham, despite his repeated failures, was still used by God.
God’s Response: God is both just and merciful. He saves sinners, but He also calls us to flee from sin and not look back (Luke 17:32).
Application: Trust that God will deal with sin justly. Do not dwell in the past—move forward in obedience, knowing that God’s mercy is greater than our failures.
Overall Takeaway
God’s justice is sure. Though we may not always understand His ways, we can be confident that He sees everything and will judge rightly. When life seems unfair, rather than seeking revenge or becoming discouraged, we must trust in the Judge of all the earth.
May we live in obedience, build our lives on Christ, and walk in the confidence that, in the end, God will put all things right.
