Topic - Gate of Praise & Thanksgiving

Focus: Worship, Gratitude, and Loving the Lord

Key Scripture:

Isaiah 28:6 (NIV) "He will be a spirit of justice to the one who sits in judgment, a source of strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate."
Psalm 118:19–20 (NKJV)"Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them,And I will praise the Lord.This is the gate of the Lord,Through which the righteous shall enter."
Deuteronomy 6:4 (NKJV)"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!"

All too soon, the first half of 2025 is almost over and we give all glory, praise and honour to our God, for we can boldly say without any doubt that we’ve made it this far (from January till now), because the Lord was on our side (Psalm 124:1-8).

And if He did it before, we know that He will do it again because He never changes - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forevermore!!

Therefore, as we enter the Summer season which also marks the start of the second half of 2025, it seems wise for us to fast and humble ourselves before our God. To pray that he would give us a safe journey and protect us, our children, and all our possessions as we journey through this new season.” (Ezra‬ ‭8‬:‭21‬ ‭NLT‬‬)

As we look back, our heart posture should be one of deep gratitude and trust.

Opening Declaration

We boldly proclaim:

“Lord, we possess the summer gates with faith and praise. You alone are our Lord.

Strengthen us at the gates, and let no enemy prevail over us!”

Psalm 118:19–20 (NKJV)

Prayer

Thank God for salvation and His faithfulness. (Psalm 107:1)
Praise God for preserving FCC, its leaders, officers, and members. (Psalm 28:7)
Declare afresh your love and devotion to the Lord. (Psalm 18:1)
Pray for spiritual eyes to be opened to God’s truth and power. (Psalm 119:18)
Intercede for Pastor and family, all officers, and leadership of FCC and LCC for strength, boldness, and protection. (Isaiah 54:17)
Declare that no evil report shall arise before, on, or after 11th July. (Proverbs 18:21)

Youth Baptism Focus:
Thank God for the youth preparing for baptism; pray their hearts are firmly rooted in Christ’s love. (Romans 6:4, 1 Peter 2:9)

Global Intercession:
Pray for all travelers to be protected on their journeys. (Psalm 121:8)
Pray for deliverance from global evil and rising wickedness. (Matthew 6:13)
Intercede for the peace and protection of Israel and Jerusalem. (Psalm 122:6, Isaiah 62:6–7)
For readiness and alertness in the Church as the spirit of the Antichrist increases. (2 Thessalonians 2:3–4, Matthew 24:42)
