Devotional Reflection (by Rev. Joseph Antwi):

Fasting is not just abstaining from food—it is an intentional act of consecration, setting ourselves apart to seek God with undivided hearts. As we fast, our motives matter. God desires sincerity, humility, and a heart aligned with His will. A fast done for show will yield no spiritual fruit, but a fast that honors God will unlock His blessings.

Application:

● Examine your heart before entering the fast; remove distractions and hypocrisy.

● Dedicate your fast to God for His glory, not personal display.

● Pray for spiritual revival, restoration of backsliders, and the blessing of the 9th month.

Practical Takeaway:

Set aside a quiet space each day to meditate on God’s word and pray before meals or designated fasting times.

Meditation & Prayer Points:

1. Thank God for the grace of prayer and fasting. (Psalm 65:2)

2. Pray for grace to fast with the right heart and that your fast will be acceptable before God. (Matthew 6:16–18; Isaiah 58:6–9)

3. Pray for humility, sincerity, and focus in the secret place. (James 4:6–8)

4. Intercede for the Church — revival, unity, and boldness; and for backsliders to return and be restored. (Acts 4:31; Ephesians 4:11–13; Joel 2:12–14; James 5:19–20)

5. Pray for New Grounds Ministry and the upcoming Luzern City Fellowship (LCF) launch on October 4 — that God will open the gates of Luzern for His church. (Isaiah 60:11; Revelation 3:8)

6. Ask God for the power to receive the full blessing of the 9th month — promotion, open doors, breakthrough, and acceleration. (Psalm 65:11; Isaiah 45:3)

7. Declare strength, discipline, and endurance throughout the 7-day P.U.S.H fast. (Isaiah 40:29–31)
