Introduction
Hello Church, welcome to Day 12 of our fasting and prayers. We thank God for His faithfulness and sustaining grace throughout this journey. As we continue to relive the Pentecost experience, we understand that one of the manifestations of God’s presence is not only power but also rest from every side.
When Solomon stood and testified, he did not only speak about wealth or influence; he spoke about rest.
The Bible says:
“But now the LORD my God has given me rest on every side; there is neither adversary nor evil occurrence.”
— 1 Kings 5:4 (NKJV)
Church, what a beautiful testimony. Rest is not merely sleeping or taking a break. Divine rest means living under God’s covering where battles that once fought you begin to lose their strength. It means peace in the middle of storms, stability in times of uncertainty, and victory where there were once struggles.
After the flood, Noah found rest. The Bible says:
“And the ark rested in the seventh month…”
— Genesis 8:4 (NKJV)
After many wars, David and Solomon experienced seasons of rest.
After years of wandering, Israel entered into rest.
And after the coming of Christ, we now enter into spiritual rest through Him.
Church, we are praying that God will give us and our churches rest from every side. Rest from devourers. Rest from accusers. Rest from every hindrance to growth. Rest from invisible battles and recurring struggles.
We are also believing God for supernatural love among us because the atmosphere of love creates rest and unity in the Church.
The Bible says:
“And above all things have fervent love for one another, for ‘love will cover a multitude of sins.’”
— 1 Peter 4:8 (NKJV)
Today we declare that every storm shall be calmed, every battle shall be settled, and every unrest shall bow before the authority of Christ.
Now let us go into the prayer points.
