Introduction
Hello Church, congratulations on reaching Day 7 of our fasting and prayers! What an
amazing journey it has been so far. We can clearly see the hunger, the zeal, and the grace
of God at work among us throughout this fasting period.
We thank God for the blessings He has released through our pastors, apostles, leaders,
brothers and sisters, translators, and everyone who has played a role in ensuring that we
have come this far together. We give glory to God for the unity and commitment shown by
the Church.
Today is Day 7, and seven is a strategic number in Scripture—a number often associated
with completion and divine purpose. It is therefore no surprise that today we are focusing on exercising the power of the Holy Spirit.
Let us pause for a moment and think about why we need to exercise the power of the Holy
Spirit. Looking at our scripture reading from Acts 3:1–7, we see Peter and John
demonstrating the power of God, and that power produced a visible result that caused many to marvel.
Church, one of the reasons the Holy Spirit has empowered and endowed us with His power
is to bring transformation and make a difference. Jesus promised:
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be
witnesses to Me…”
— Acts 1:8 (NKJV)
The power of the Holy Spirit is given to us so that we become effective witnesses for Christ.
It gives us boldness instead of fear and empowers us to share the gospel and impact lives.
However, if we do not exercise this power, it may remain dormant within us. Ask yourself:
When was the last time you prayed for someone believing God for a miracle?
When was the last time you laid hands on someone in faith?
When was the last time you prayed and believed that God would move through you?
Today we are focusing on the grace and opportunity God has given us to exercise the power of the Holy Spirit. I believe our leaders will continue to expand on this during our lunchtime and evening sessions.
As we begin these prayer points, prepare your heart and remember this truth:
There is power in you because the Holy Spirit lives in you, and that power will sustain and
guide us until Christ returns.
Now let us go into the prayer points.
⸻

Spirit gave them utterance.”
