Daily Bible Plan – Acts of the Apostels 26

01. April 2026

Devotion by Reverend Joseph Antwi

Theme: My Job, My Kingdom Assignment

Devotion: Acts 26:1–32

Hello, church family! Praise the Lord for the first day of a new month — April! This is a very strategic month for Christians worldwide, as we approach Passover and Easter celebrations. Sometimes we get so caught up in festivities, travel, or parties that we forget the true purpose of this season: reflecting on Christ Jesus, His sacrifice, and the kingdom work He calls us to do. As Romans 14:17 reminds us, “for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

Church, today we’re going to dive deeply into Acts 26, a powerful chapter showing us Paul’s courage, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to his kingdom assignment. Before we start, ask the Holy Spirit to teach you. Grab your Bible, take some quiet chair time, and underline any verse that speaks to you. Don’t rush; treat this like a meal, savor each word, and meditate on it throughout your day.

1. Paul before King Agrippa

After being plotted against by 40 men who vowed to kill him, Paul now stands before King Agrippa. He takes every opportunity to explain himself and the gospel. Notice how he repeated his testimony over and over, sharing what Jesus had done in his life.

Church, I want to add a personal reflection here:

Whenever I go out to preach, I see people respond when I share my testimony — how I struggled with multiple girlfriends, pornography, and other mistakes of my past. I openly tell them how God transformed my life. You may not have a “dirty” story like mine; yours could be anger issues, fear, or confusion before finding Christ. Every testimony matters. When we humbly share how God changed us, people see that salvation is possible for everyone.

2. The Power of Knowledge and Learning

Paul’s testimony was not just emotional; it was also strategic and intelligent. Festus observed:

“Paul, you are out of your mind with all this learning!” (Acts 26:24, NLT)

Church, note this: advancing the kingdom requires learning, preparation, and study. Paul had knowledge of the law, the prophets, and the culture of his audience, which allowed him to defend the gospel even before kings and rulers. Whatever you find yourself doing — work, ministry, evangelism — do it greatly, for it equips you to defend the gospel when necessary.

3. Respect for Authority

Notice Paul’s tone with Agrippa and Festus. Despite his boldness, he respected authority and humbled himself. Even when he was innocent, knowledgeable, and righteous, he spoke with careful, respectful words.

King Agrippa, almost persuaded, asked:

“Do you intend to persuade me to be a Christian?” (Acts 26:28, NKJV)

And Paul responded:

“I would to God that not only you, but all who hear me today, might become like me — except for these chains.” (Acts 26:29, NLT)

Church, see his shepherd’s heart. Paul wanted everyone to be saved, but he did not want them to suffer as he did. This is true humility and love for souls.

4. Boldness in Sharing the Gospel

Paul stood firm, explaining how Jesus called him, even though it brought opposition. He did not shy away from telling rulers or kings his story. Church, we must also use every opportunity to testify of Christ, regardless of where we are — at work, school, or in our communities.

5. Citizenship of Heaven

Remember what Paul emphasized — he was a Roman citizen, and he used that status wisely to protect himself. Church, our true citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20). When we walk in that authority:

• Demonic attacks will withdraw

• Spiritual influence will align with our calling

• Our testimony will be shielded by God

No earthly power can match the protection and authority of the kingdom.

6. Special Prophetic Prayer for the Global Church

Church, let us also pray a special prophetic prayer for the global church, that radical attacks and conspiracies against God’s people may be exposed and neutralized. May God raise helpers, angels, and even “little people” like Paul’s nephew, who bring to light the plots of the enemy, and may the gospel continue to advance unhindered across all nations.

7. Final Charge

Church, take time today to:

• Read Acts 26:1–32 carefully

• Underline the verses that speak to your heart

• Pray for the church, your leaders, and your pastors

• Share this devotion and invite others to join you in understanding God’s word

Remember, as I always say:

“Without being built by the Word, you will be broken by the world.” — Rev. Joseph Antwi

See you tonight for evangelism at 6 PM sharp, gathering at church. Let’s take what we’ve learned and reach our city for Christ

God bless you richly.

Acts 26 challenges me to be bold and faithful in sharing my testimony, because my story is a powerful witness of what Christ can do. I also learned that serving God requires not only passion, but also growth in knowledge and understanding, so I can represent the gospel with wisdom. Paul’s example showed me the importance of respecting authority, walking in humility, and still remaining courageous in my kingdom assignment. Above all, I was reminded that my true citizenship is in heaven, and because of that, I can trust God to protect me, strengthen me, and help me stand firm as I continue to pray for the advancement of Hisword and the church.

Thank you and God bless you richly…
