Greater Grace
Key Scripture:
“But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: ‘God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.’” – James 4:6
Devotional Thought:
Greater grace is God’s empowerment for greater assignments. Grace is not just unmerited favor—it is divine strength, wisdom, and help poured into your life so you can walk in His will and overcome challenges.
Everything God does in the physical first begins in the spiritual. When you pray and fast, you position yourself to receive and enforce the flow of His grace from the unseen realm into your visible reality. Prayer enforces spiritual transactions; fasting sharpens your spirit to receive clearly.
The hunger you feel today is a reminder that man does not live by bread alone but by every word from God (Matthew 4:4). Grace flows when we humble ourselves before Him in prayer and fasting—because God pours more grace upon the humble.
Biblical Examples of Greater Grace at Work:
• Esther 4:16 & 5:2 – Fasting prepared Esther to receive favor and boldness before the king.
• Acts 4:33 – The apostles testified with great power, and “great grace was upon them all.”
• 2 Corinthians 12:9 – Paul received sustaining grace in his weakness: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”
Reflection:
Today’s fast is not just about needs; it is about being positioned to carry more of God’s power, favor, and strength for the days ahead. Greater grace is coming your way—receive it in Jesus Name!
