Introduction
Hello Church, congratulations on reaching Day 8 of our fasting and prayers. We thank God for His grace and sustaining power throughout this journey. Every day of prayer is not simply a routine exercise but an opportunity to grow deeper in intimacy with God and in our understanding of His Spirit.
Today we focus on unpacking the works of the Paraclete in the New Testament. The word Paraclete means Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Counselor, Intercessor, and One who stands beside us. Jesus knew that after His ascension, the disciples would need divine help to fulfill their assignment, and so He promised them the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit was not given merely to make us emotional or excited during church services. He was given to guide us, teach us, comfort us, convict us, strengthen us, empower us, and reveal Jesus to us daily.
Many believers desire the power of the Holy Spirit but sometimes overlook the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Before we can fully exercise His power, we must first understand His work in our lives. The Holy Spirit is not distant from us; He lives in us and walks with us.
As we pray today, may our eyes be opened to understand and experience the ministry of the Holy Spirit in greater dimensions. May we become sensitive to His voice and obedient to His leading.
Now let us go into the prayer points.
